5 STAR RATING

Darcy truly went out of her way to address my symptoms and help me on the road to recovery. I was able to run my first half marathon today, and would not have been able to without her dedication and support.

TECHNIQUES & THERAPIES

At SMART Integrative Massage Group, we know Sports Massage because it’s a part of our own active lifestyles. Whether it is running your first 5K or marathon, cycling across the country, weight training, yoga, dance, or team sports, your therapist will create a customized treatment plan just for you.

Designed for both the professional athlete and weekend warriors, many active people are now incorporating Sports Massage into their training regimen. Sports Massage can increase your flexibility, loosen up overworked muscles, speed injury recovery, reduce delayed onset muscle soreness, and boost your speed and efficacy in your sport. Sports Massage can aid athletes, performers, dancers, or others who wish to use their bodies at peak efficiency to achieve maximum physical performance.

Sports Massage

No two sports massage sessions are alike. Your session will be dictated by your chosen sport, where you are in your training schedule, and your goals for that particular session. With our deep knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, your SMART Integrative Massage Group therapist will design a specialized treatment plan that could include Swedish massage techniques, deep tissue therapy, active isolated stretching, neuromuscular therapy, fascial release and manual lymphatic drainage therapy.

Using deep tissue therapy and related techniques, your therapist will aid in the breaking up of scar tissue and adhesions, which will allow your muscles and tendons to be free to glide the way they were designed.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapy will help increase delivery of healing lymphocytes to the overworked areas and aid in removal of metabolic waste and cellular debris.

At SMART Integrative Massage Group, we provide Sports Massage at local events so we can aid local athletes in enhancing their immediate competitive output and recovery. Most of our athletes come to our office for regular maintenance sessions, which are usually performed throughout their training and the competitive season.
