Since the reopening of my business at the end of June, we continue to see the return of old friends and welcome new clients to the office. As the Fall settles in, the same leaves that I watched from my desk chair slowly opening in April and May are now gently floating to the ground. It’s hard to believe that this many months later, we would still be dealing with this pandemic. We may have tired of Zoom meetings and virtual birthday parties, but also have creative ways to stay connected to our family and community.
Those that have been in the office can attest to the intense disinfecting and COVID-19 protocols that I am following before and after each client session. it can be exhausting to continually clean all day long, but I will preserve as long as is needed to keep us both safe and healthy. For those that are still not comfortable being inside the office. I offer 30-minute outside chair massage sessions in the office building parking lot. In-home visits, (even outside at your home) are not yet allowed in New Jersey.
If you have visited a doctor or dentist during this time, your experience will likely be much the same in my office. Both therapist and client are required to wear masks during the entire session.
I am temporarily disabling the online scheduling system and request that all clients have a phone conversation with me to book an appointment. If you were diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspected that you may have had it, please get written clearance from your doctor before booking your first appointment. There are still many unknown complications for those that have recovered from COVID-19. Let’s have a conversation to decide how best to proceed with your massage therapy session to keep you safe and healthy.
I am operating on a limited schedule to utilize additional disinfecting protocols needed between appointments. We have a COVID-19 plan in place that exceeds the CDC and state guidelines. I ask for your willingness to be flexible with your schedule as I do my best to try to accommodate everyone. Also know that despite all our mutual precautions and intense disinfecting procedures, everything could come to a screeching halt if cases rise in our area to unacceptable levels.
